Located in the Historical Center of Viana do Castelo, Modernística is dedicated to Vintage and Contemporary Design. In this store, you can find contemporary pieces created by its founders, but also Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics, Timberlamp lamps, and Rosendhal pieces, with emphasis on the designs of Kay Bojesen.
On the vintage side, Modernística focuses on furniture and pieces from the 60's, Nordic styles, such as tables, chairs, bookcases, and art deco. Many of their pieces are allusive to the city of Viana do Castelo. The space is small and with a familiar atmosphere, exposing several of their works, giving the store life but keeping a minimalist style.
The prices are demanding but balanced with the quality of the products, and the service is specialised and highly friendly. You can visit Modernística from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 7pm, and Saturdays until 1pm.
