Miradouro do Monte do Picoto

The Miradouro do Monte do Picoto is known as the Hill Picoto, a small hill south of Braga. This is a beautiful site to visit if you are looking for the best viewpoints of the mountain. Many trails are available to those who wish to hike, and several historical events occurred at this location.

On August 17th, 1808, the Battle of Roliça was fought here. Once you climb up the slight slope, you can see a valley and the surrounding villages of Roliça, São Mamede, and Columbeira.
