Cabedelo Beach, also known as Praia de Norte Darque, is located on the south bank of the Lima River estuary in Viana do Castelo.
This half-moon-shaped beach, with about 1 km long of fine sand, small dunes, and some vegetation, is currently divided into two sandy areas: the first sandy area, smaller and close to the Lima river mouth; and the second sandy area, further south and with a much larger extension.
This place is trendy, not only by swimmers, due to the several support infrastructures and the proximity to Viana do Castelo, but also by water sports lovers, which includes: Paddle, Surf, Windsurf, and Kitesurf. Nature lovers also appreciate it due to the presence of two camping parks right next to the beach.
