Museu PIO XII

Museum

The Museu Pio XII, also known as the Pius XII Museum, is a museum founded in 1957 dedicated to Sacred Art and Archeology and is located in the building of Museum Medina. This location is named after Pope Pius XII, and features a wide variety of exhibits and pieces. Many eras of work are displayed from the Paleolithic, Bronze, and Neolithic periods. There is also pottery from the Luso-Roman and the Pre-historic period.

The museum was designed in the Peristyle style of Roman Villas. Those visiting this location can take part in many events, or they can enjoy the art pieces that are on display. You can visit the Core Henry Medina Gallery, or even the Medieval Town if you want to see things as they used to be before so many cultural revolutions. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in getting a better grasp of past eras, or those that appreciate a fine collection of art.
