On the outskirts of Ponte de Lima, an old manor house hides one of the most sought-after places in the region. Inside the stone walls, the restaurant "A Carvalheira" presents a menu of traditional Portuguese gastronomy.
Here, thanks to Maria Teresa Gomes, you can delight yourself with Oven-roasted Kid (young goat), Codfish with Cornbread or Sarrabulho Rice. As to desserts, the Custard Milk, the "Pera Borrachona" and the "Pudim Abade de Priscos" will satisfy even the most demanding visitors.
We recommend an early table reservation to avoid waiting times and guarantee availability. "A Carvalheira" is closed on Mondays. On the remaining days, it welcomes visitors from 12.30 pm to 3 pm and from 7 pm to 10 pm. The average price per person is 40 euros.
