Located in Braga, the Galeria Mário Sequeira was born in 1994 in a house of the late nineteenth century and was a revolutionary place that soon attracted people's attention by reaching a target audience that did not exist in the area.
In an instant, this gallery received in its space exhibitions of high-quality international artists such as Andy Warhol, Sigmar Polke, Lucio Muñoz, and Gerhard Richter, among others.
The Galeria Mário Sequeira has three different exhibition spaces: a historic building from the late nineteenth century, a contemporary building, and an outdoor space where several sculptures are exhibited. This gallery currently focuses on showing young artists whose work has been recognized, giving them a new stage.
The Galeria Mário Sequeira also organizes conferences on art, experimental concerts, and related complementary activities and produces catalogs of the exhibitions held here.
It can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 1pm, and from 3pm to 7pm.
