Located in Brufe, 800 meters above sea level and a few kilometers from the Spanish border, the restaurant "O Abocanhado" offers an unforgettable landscape over the River Homem. The building, specially built to blend in with the landscape, appears as a terrace carefully carved into the hillside.
The menu is prepared from local flavors, such as veal, corn bread or eggs with alheira sausage. In addition, the menu includes stewed venison shoulder, rump steak, veal chop, or oven-roasted kid.
The "O Abocanhado" closes on Tuesdays for staff rest. On the remaining days, it welcomes visitors between 12:15 pm and 3:50 pm, and again from 7:15 pm to 9:30 am. The average price per person is 20€.
