The Misarela Bridge, also known as Devil's Bridge, is over the Rabagão river in the municipality of Vieira do Minho and Ferral, in the municipality of Montalegre.
This bridge has its origins in the Middle Ages and is supported by a single arch of more than 10 meters. There are two ways to get here: first by Vieira do Minho and second by Montalegre. If you choose Vieira do Minho, it will be a pleasant 15-minute walk, and you will have access to the old and impressive Roman road that connected this area to the city of Braga. In Montalegre, the trip lasts 10 minutes, and you can contemplate the entire landscape through a viewpoint.
Besides its cultural heritage, this bridge represents an essential milestone in the History of Portugal since it was the stage of bloody combat between Napoleon's army and the Luso-British troops.
