Lindoso

Lindoso is a parish that belongs to the municipality of Ponte da Barca. It is well-known for the castle of Lindoso and its museological center, the largest collection of granaries on the Iberian Peninsula, the medieval bridge and the mills of Parada, and the hill of Cidadelhe and its main church.

In this mountainous region of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, along the foothills of the Serra Amarela, you can enjoy waterfalls, lakes, trails, and even several accommodations for an overnight stay in this region of Alto Minho.

If you are a hiking enthusiast, the Antenas de Louriça viewpoint trail is at your disposal, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Lindoso area and Amarela Mountain. Here you will also be able to enjoy the famous Cascata do Rio da Escada waterfall and the rock engravings of Pedra de Porto Chão.
