7 Lagoas do Xertelo

The 7 Lagoas do Xertelo, also known as Poços Verdes do Sobroso, have one of the most stunning views in the Peneda-Gerês National Park and are found along the river that rises in the mountains and crosses the parish of Cabril, in the municipality of Montalegre. Renowned not only for its landscape but also for the stunning and challenging trail (with a maximum length of 12 km, round trip), it will delight any nature lover. Along the way, you can also find an old watercourse and old hunting structures.

To get here, you should start your journey by car from the village of Cabril, following the CM1020 to Xertelo. From here, the ideal is to make the rest of the journey on foot; you can also choose to do it by motorcycle or bicycle.
