Cascata do Arado e Poço Azul

In the valley of the river Conho, we can find one of the best-kept secrets of the National Park of Peneda-Gerês. Lagoa e Cascata do Arado lies in the Arado river, near the village of Ermida and the Pedra Bela viewpoint. This magnificent landscape is formed by a succession of waterfalls, culminating in a natural pool of crystal clear water.

To get to Poço Azul, you will have to start your route at Cascatas do Arado and walk a maximum of 4 km. The sense of peace, tranquility, and silence, only interrupted by the sound of water, is so great that you will certainly not want to leave any time soon. Here you will have access to a full panoramic view over the Serra do Gerês, such as Roca de Pias and Roca Negra.
