Cascata do Tahiti

The Lagoa e Cascata do Tahiti, a popular name by which Cascatas Fecha de Barjas is known, lies in the middle of the Serra do Gerês, more precisely in the surroundings of the village of Ermida, parish of Vilar de Veiga, municipality of Terras de Bouro.

This pond and waterfall are formed by the waters of the Arado river, located near Cascata do Arado, the Pedra Bela and Roca viewpoints, and Cascata da Rajada e das Lagoas Naturais de Fafião. It is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and impressive places in the National Park of Peneda-Gerês.

To get here, you must take the N308-1 towards Vilar de Veiga until Pereiró, followed by the CM1276 road towards Ermida. Before reaching Ermida, you will come to a crossing and should take the road to your right. Once you get a bridge over the Arado river, you will have reached your destination.
