The Vezeira and Serra Ecomuseum belongs to the village of Fafião and is one of the gorgeous areas of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, in the region of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, in the municipality of Montalegre.
This museum, located near the triangular swing of Fafião and the Fojo dos Lobos café, has the purpose of stimulating the whole economic landscape and creating a balance between the shepherd and tourist activities that are currently being developed.
The museum seeks to enhance the memory and the natural, cultural, and ethnographic heritage of Terras de Barroso. In this context, it aims to create trails that make it possible to discover all the pastoral logistics, the lakes, the corrals, the famous olive oil press, and the mills that fill the landscape.
