In the municipality of Ponte de Lima, several footpaths privilege and promote contact with nature and the environment. Part of these Ecovias can be found along the Lima River, where there is also the possibility of joining other activities.
The Lima River Ecovia comprises six paths along several municipalities: Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, Ponte da Barca, and Arcos de Valdevez.
The paths you can enjoy are: the Veigas Trail between Deão and Ponte de Lima; the Açudes Trail, between Ponte de Lima and Ponte da Barca; the Lagoas Trail, between Ponte de Lima and Ribeira da Silvareira; the Refóios do Lima Trail, divided in two, between Ponte de Lima and Arcos de Valdevez; and finally, the Ermelo Trail, between the village of Ermelo and Vilarinho de Souto.
